Sheep wool

Sheep wool is one of the oldest textiles, along with silk from China and linen from Egypt. The sheep and the dog were man's first friends. The sheep was able to feed humans and keep them warm during the harsh winters. Wool has unique and healing properties that no man-made material has ever surpassed.

Merino fibers can absorb and retain up to 35% of their own weight in moisture and still feel dry. When the ambient humidity is lowered, the water evaporates back into the air. Wool "breathes" and ensures a thermal balance between wool and the environment.

Wool is a natural dirt-repellent fiber. The special structure of the wool fiber prevents dirt from getting onto the surface. In addition, wool is naturally resistant to static electricity, which also means that they do not attract dust.

Do not use in people who are allergic to sheep's wool

Maintenance of wool

This product is ideal for maintenance using the dry cleaning method offered by all conventional dry cleaners. This cleaning method does not cause hair loss or deformation.

Hand wash

The product is also hand washable, we recommend a maximum of 30°C. When rinsing, ensure that the water temperature is gradually reduced to avoid deformation or felting. Then gently squeeze and dry the product horizontally (do not hang) to prevent the material from stretching. A suitable maintenance product is lanolin, which is as gentle as possible for sheep's wool.

Washing machine

We do not recommend washing the product in the washing machine.

Tumble dryer

When drying in the dryer, we recommend using intelligent wool balls / dryer balls that absorb the laundry, reduce static charge and even act as a fabric softener.

Woolmark/Woolmerk is the world's most recognized trademark used to distinguish pure new wool products. As an international quality mark, it is awarded to woolen fabrics, knits and blankets according to specific quality standards. Only products containing high-quality sheep's wool are certified.

The quality mark does not impose any environmental or animal welfare requirements. Quality criteria do apply to the end product. These relate to the fiber strength, the formation of fluff (pills) and shrinkage properties of the wool. Because these quality requirements are aimed at ensuring that garments last a long time, they provide indirect environmental benefits.
