The lanterns were created as a tribute to the elements of the earth: fire and light.
They are called Gaia after the Greek goddess of the earth GAIA.
The lanterns are handmade in clay, which is then glazed with a light silky glaze or a brown rustic glaze with a metallic feel and sound. The beautiful wood carvings cast a soft light and playful patterns and shadows on the walls once the lantern is lit.
The lanterns are made for indoor use, but the glaze on the inside means they can also be used as a vase.
